Last night I gave my ‘A year In beekeeping’ talk to a group of very interested people. We looked at a real hive, to understand what goes on inside at different points in the year, and had a 40 minute Q & A session, only stopping when our time ran out.

The honeycomb is gorgeous on hot crumpets as you suggested. I’ll pop over and pick up a couple more at the weekend.

The bees are almost dormant now (although at 20 degrees today they were flying) and it isn’t a good idea to open the hive. It will be ‘safe’ to open up the hive as soon as the Spring weather arrives, usually March. I will contact you offline to organise a date to come over. Thanks again for your kind comments.
Do you offer gift vouchers for experience days? it would solve my Christmas gift problems for son and partner, and having seen your talk and spoken to you, I know they would thoroughly enjoy it!
